    Fire Safety at HES

    Students had the opportunity to meet the Hancock Fire Department. Inside, the firefighters taught us about the importance of fire safety and what we can do to keep ourselves safe. They showed us the smoke detectors, sprinklers, and extinguishers in our Multipurpose room. While outside, another group of firefighters had cones set up to represent fire, and every student had a turn spraying water from the hose.

    A surprise visit from Mr. Burke!

    We had a cafeteria full of parents and students for our first family lunch of the new school year. One guest, a former teacher, was greeted with loud cheers from all of the students! Mr. Burke had returned for a surprise visit, and he even wore his Hancock Huskies shirt!
